I’VE NEVER DONE FUNKFIT BEFORE. CAN I JOIN YOUR CLASSES?

Yes, our classes are suitable for all abilities and fitness levels.

DO I NEED TO BE FIT?

DO YOU DO TRIAL SESSIONS?

No. Unfortunately we do not offer free trials but we will guarantee that you will LOVE your first session!

HOW MANY CALORIES WILL I BURN IN A FUNKFIT CLASS?

No. You can take the class as easy or as hard as you want depending on your fitness levels. They will improve as you attend more FunkFit classes.

HOW LONG DOES A CLASS LAST?

The number of calories each person burns per class varies. Depending on your body parameters (type, composition, intensity, range of motion), you can burn hundreds of calories per class.

CAN CHILDREN DO THIS CLASS?

FunkFit classes usually last an hour, including a warm up, stretching and a cool down at the end at the class.

Due to health and safety reasons, it is recommended that only children over 16 years take part in a FunkFit class.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

WHAT IS SUITABLE FOOTWEAR?

Normal gym clothes and trainers – anything light and comfortable. Joggers, leggings, shorts with t-shirts or vests are all suitable. And don’t forget to bring some water!

WILL I HAVE FUN?

As James Brown would say “HELL YEAH!!”

To support ankles and to get the best experience from the class, we would highly recommend trainers i.e. cross training or aerobic style shoes. They provide the cushion and medial lateral support needed for side-to-side movements. They also have low traction rubber for easy sliding and turning. Please be careful with running shoes since they use a heavy tread on the bottom and are designed for forward movement.
